I'm going to keep this short and sweet, like the album.
One time I was fortunate enough to catch these guys at Thee Parkside and I was just trampled by their relentless drive and their unyielding hair.
Upon meeting the singer, I was handed the Saviours ' album Crucifire. Good ol' fashioned "headbanging" metal. This album is definitely one that you must play at high volumes, over and over again. Your neighbors and room-mates may be pissed about it, but hey, they just don't know how to rock.
From the album's cover to the last track, riff after riff, the Saviours don't let up one bit. I catch myself playing air guitar to the fifth track, "Christhunt", which is definitely one of my favorites. But all the tracks on Crucifire just get better and better each time I listen to them.
Bands from Oakland (East Bay) always know how to rock. If you don't own the Saviours' album Crucifire already, but you appreciate metal by the likes of High On Fire, Altamont, and Judas Priest, do yourself a favor and pick this one up. It’s got Gus' stamp of approval.
