OK. I grew up in LA lala land and went to film school at Cal Arts. During my last year, I started a band, Radio Vago, which became my LIFE. After the first year, I was in it for the long haul. We all were. We dedicated everything we had to the music. And LOVED it. I played keyboards. The band was together from 1999 to 2005. We were an all-girl dark-rock extravaganza.

Radio Vago toured the US many times, SXSW, and Europe with the Mars Volta. Omar Rodriguez Lopez produced our first full-length album, and we thought we were in. We thought we were gonna hit it big. We thought Radio Vago was gonna be our lives forever. And then we broke up. We couldn't take it even after two years of band therapy!!! Crazy. There should be a novel written about us or something. Seriously, we were worse then Fleetwood Mac. Whatever.

When we broke up I didn't know what to do with my life. I was banking on this band. It wrecked me. I started an improv band with Radio Vago's drummer (and my best buddy) Jenny Vassilatos. We are called Callbox, and we plan on releasing a record in the next year or two… But even with this project, I was still lost.

Then I discovered what I needed to do, incorporate my passion for filmmaking with my passion for music. So I started Wiretap. And here we are.

Mike G. is a writer and musician who lives in San Francisco. He enjoys music that requires ridiculously long and pretentious descriptors like this: art-damaged experimental indie psychedelic post punk trip-hop rock. He also likes sci-fi and bicycling.

I'm a big dork, I love to sweat it out on the dance floor, I am working on my first novel, I write/design for Digital Scrapbooking Magazine, I make art, I love music and I heart Dykerchiefs. My nickname is Kiki. Write, create, and R-O-C-K, lather, rinse, repeat.

Jeff Bissell
Writer

Jeff's impressions of live music are skewed because of an affinity for Mother Hips concerts which he attended religiously during the late 1990's and early 2000's. Some other shows that have shaped Jeff's musical experience include Guns n' Roses in 1991, Rage Against the Machine in 1998, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Boredoms, and watching John from Fleshies light himself on fire at Thee Parkside. If you're in a band and want a favorable write up, Jeff is partial to hugs and ice cold Stella Artois.

Ann Larie
Writer

Hovering somewhere between music lover and music obsessive, Ann Larie spends many hours devising methods for leaving Amoeba after only 3 hours and $60. When she's not occupied with this Herculean task, she earns a living as a social worker in the ER at SF General Hospital. Her musical pursuits include singing with the SF Symphony Chorus and playing clarinet in her room until the neighbors bang on the wall.

I'm a pisces. I like walks on the beach, pretty sunsets, puppies & soft fluffy things, poetry, kisses & cuddles, fun conversations and candlelit dinners. I also love music that makes me lose my shit. Could you be that band? Let's do some reviews and find out! If it works out, I hope you're not shy about meeting my family...
